What does it cost for a team larger than 5?+
Growth is ₹49 per employee per month (₹588/yr per employee). Scale is ₹99 per employee per month (₹1,188/yr). So a 10-person team on Growth pays ₹490/month or ₹5,880/year. Hit Pricing → Estimate to plug in your headcount.
How do payments work today?+
Self-serve credit card billing via Razorpay is on the way. Until then, every new org starts free; when you cross 5 employees we send a GST invoice and you pay by UPI / NEFT / bank transfer (NET-15 terms). You'll never be surprised — we email a heads-up at 80% of your plan limit.
How do I request a paid plan?+
Once you're signed in, go to Settings → Billing and click "Request upgrade". HR/Owner picks Growth, Scale, or Enterprise; we get an email, send an invoice, and unlock the plan within one business day. You can also email hello@ployva.in directly.
Is the free plan really free forever?+
Yes. Up to 5 active employees, all the core HR modules, no credit card. We make money when you grow past 5 people, not before.
Do you support Indian payroll?+
Yes — full monthly payroll runs, frozen payslip snapshots, NEFT bank-file CSV export, manual TDS or our slab-based tax engine (FY 2025-26 NEW + OLD regime, HRA / 80C / 80D). All amounts in INR.
How does leave accrual work?+
Each leave type can be set to monthly drip (1/12 of the annual allotment per calendar month — the default) or upfront (all available on day 1 of the financial year). Mid-year hires accrue from their join month. Per-employee overrides are supported for tenure bonuses or pro-rated joiners.
Can I customize the payslip / offer letter design?+
Yes. Settings → Document Templates lets you replace the built-in HTML with your own — full HTML/CSS, Handlebars variables like {{employee.fullName}} and {{amounts.netPay}}, live preview against sample data. Phase 1 covers payslips; offer / appointment / experience letters are coming next.
What roles do you support?+
Owner, HR Admin, Manager, and Employee. Managers can approve their direct reports' leave and file leave on their behalf; HR/Owner can do everything across the org including auto-approving on-behalf-of requests.
Is my data secure?+
Multi-tenant Postgres with explicit org isolation on every query. Document uploads sit in a private Vercel Blob store with auth-gated proxy routes — no public URLs. Sessions are DB-backed (Auth.js v5). Every mutation hits the audit log with actor + before/after.
Can I import existing employees?+
Today you add employees one at a time via the directory form (with the full onboarding fields: PAN, UAN, ESIC, bank, etc.) or invite them by email. A bulk CSV importer is on the Growth roadmap.
Do you bill in INR? Can I pay annually?+
Pricing is per-employee per-month, billed annually in INR. Monthly billing is available on Growth + Scale. GST invoices are issued on request.
